Well, there isn't necessarily the right posting under which to register this comment, but Islamofascism fits as well as anything, given the critical role intelligence services should play in 'the War on Terror'.

So, I've finally discovered another big Canadian connection to the Bond films (other than the fact that William Stevenson provided Ian Fleming with much of the original inspiration for the Bond character, of course). It seems that the actress who originally played Moneypenny, and who recently passed away, was Canadian:

And yes, Lois (Hooker) Maxwell's obituary is written by none other than that great Canadian asshole, Mark Steyn. Don't let that turn you off, though, for you have to admit, John, that, if nothing else, Steyn writes a great obituary. He also presents some very interesting background on the actual war-time secretary upon whom Fleming's 'all-powerful' Moneypenny character was based.
